International Philatelic Exhibition Balkanfila XX

Hellenic Post, on the occasion of the International Philatelic Exhibition Balkanfila XX, is releasing the following 4 Special Commemorative Postmarks, which will be used EXCLUSIVELY at the temporary Post Office that will be set up and will operate at the Exhibition site. Balkanfila XX will be hosted in Pavilion 6 (Pavilion of Nations) within the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, alongside the Annual Tourism Exhibition "Philoxenia".

The dates of use of the above Special Commemorative Postmarks are as follows:

On November 13, 2024, day Wednesday and hours 12:00-20:00, the stamp "Balkanfila XX Opening Day"
On November 14, 2024, day Thursday and hours 10:00-19:00, the stamp "Balkanfila XX Day of Philatelic Action"
On November 15, 2024, day Friday and hours 10:00-14:00, the stamp "Balkanfila XX Awards Day"
On November 16, 2024, day Saturday and hours 10:00-14:00, the stamp "Balkanfila XX Balkan Friendship Day – Closing Day"

The Special Commemorative Postmarks will be available for 3 consecutive Wednesdays from their release date, at the Syntagma Post Office, Mitropoleos 2, 105 63 Athens, from 09:00 to 13:00.

Alternatively, you can send your postal items free of charge to the Philatelic Service (100 Eolou St., 2^nd floor, 10188 Athens), within 60 days from the release date (the post office stamping indicates the date of posting).
Philatelic items to be postmarked must bear the name and full address of the sender so that they can be sent to them. Please mark the envelope “PHILATELIC ITEMS”.

ATTENTION!

To obtain an imprint of the commemorative postmarks on a postal item, you must have affixed stamps of at least the minimum value of B’ priority domestic mail (20 gr), today 1,20 €.

At the end of the year, Hellenic Post will release a set of envelopes stamped with commemorative postmarks especially for commemorative postmark collectors. Each envelope will have the minimum value of B’ priority domestic mail (20 gr), today 1,20 €, stamp affixed to it and will be stamped with one of the special commemorative postmarks for 2024.
