To mark the completion of 40 years since the creation of the Hellenic Material Control Center, which exercises central control over all the circulating material of the Material War of the Hellenic Army General Staff, the Hellenic Post is releasing a Special Commemorative Postmark, dated 28.12.2022.

Special Commemorative Postmark will be available on the following three (3) Thursdays, at the Post Office of Syntagma Square, Mitropoleos 2, 105 63 Athens, from 09:00 to 13:00.

Alternatively, you can send your postal items free of charge to the Philatelic Service (100 Eolou St., 2^nd floor, 10188 Athens), within 60 days from the release date (the post office stamping indicates the date of posting).

Philatelic items to be postmarked must bear the name and full address of the sender so that they can be sent to them. Please mark the envelope “PHILATELIC ITEMS”.  

ATTENTION!

In order to obtain an imprint of the commemorative postmark on a postal item, you must have affixed stamps of at least the minimum value of B’ priority domestic mail ( 20 gr), today €0.90. 

At the end of the year, Hellenic Post will release a set of envelopes stamped with commemorative postmarks especially for commemorative postmark collectors. Each envelope will have the minimum value of B’ priority domestic mail (20 gr), today €0.90, stamp affixed to it and will be stamped with one of the special commemorative postmarks for 2022.
